Absence makes the Heart Grow Fonder

Or at least I hope so!  Sorry I've been gone so long guys.  Things have been fucking crazy lately, in a lot of good ways and a few not so good.  But I'm done living my life worried about negativity.  I'm just gonna find my happiness and try not to stress too much about anything else.

Here's some pics from one of the very good things that happened this past weekend, the New Years Day and BOTDF concert.  I met Ash Costello and she signed my ticket!!

And I got to hang out with some pretty great friends :)

Fun at the State Fair

This past Tuesday, my mom and I went to the local state fair to shop and things that are horribly bad for you.

We had a few errands to run before and while we were out my nana called to tell us that Micheal's was having a sale on their Halloween stuff, so of course we went there first!  All that I got there will be revealed in my upcoming massive Halloween post! mwahahaha!!

Anywho, since we were over in that area, we decided to run into Barnes & Nobles and Party City.

When we went into Barnes & Nobles, I only planned on grabbing a few magazines I've been wanting and heading out.  Well that didn't happen, because on our way to the check out I saw the magical Nightmare Before Christmas display they had.  It was wonderful :) 

I ended up getting the cutest little Jack plushy and a POP! vinyl Sally toy.

I love them so much!

Next we went to Party City where I found skull shot glasses for 99 cents and the prettiest spider necklace.

And now the world knows I have a fleckley chest. Oh, well.

Finally, we headed to the fair!

When we got there, we instantly headed to the buildings and started shopping! Here's all the goodies we stumbled across in the first building:

We then headed over to the other building, where among the shopping, my mom and I decided that I should hop on a wooden pony attraction prop they had and have my picture taken

We then proceeded to shop.  Now this is where I got just a liiiitle bit nerdy.  You guys know how I love Black Butler and Death Note?  Well, I found some booths that sold stuff for them.  Like this:

As for Death Note, I found a lanyard with L on it and *drum roll* A DEATH NOTE NOTEBOOK!! with some 3D pictures and glasses.

It's got all the rules in it and everything! *nerding out*

Anyways, I also grabbed some hello kitty sunglasses!

I had so much fun hanging out with my momma! It left us both dead tired but was totally worth it.

Now, I'm going to go eat some chili that my nana made because it is finally cold outside!

Ronnie Radke Arrested Again

Falling in Reverse singer Ronnie Radke was arrested at Six Flags festEVIL on September 28th after throwing microphone stands into the crowd, injuring two people.  A sixteen year old girl suffered a 2 to 3 inch gash on her head.  A 24 year old man was also injured.

Radke was later released on $25,000 bail.

No other information has been released.

Every Avenue Front Man Injured

Every Avenue front man Dave Strauchman was hit by a car 2 days ago while trying to cross the street in L.A.  No word on his condition has been released.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

S.O.P.H.I.E. and Jeremy Saffer

Just recently I discovered I had enough money to get a few of the things online I've been wanting.  Two of them were a S.O.P.H.I.E. foundation bracelet and t-shirt

The other thing I ordered was a "Death to False Photography" bracelet that my favorite photographer Jeremy Saffer created.

I love all of them.  I'm proud to be representing the S.O.P.H.I.E. foundation as well as supporting an amazing photographer.

Philbrook Trip

Yesterday, my mom and I went to the Philbrook museum for an assignment I needed to complete for my Art Appreciation class.  We had to pick one piece of art that we couldn't live without, write down the information about it, and write a paper.  I have some pretty good ideas about what I want to write about, one being these awesome little cameras:

While there, we ran into one of my friends/classmates and he walked around with us for a bit before he had to leave.  The guy seriously knew all this interesting stuff about the place and made it sound interesting.  I was just amazed with some armor they had hanging up!

Pretty nifty, right?

When you go outside to the garden, you forget that you are even at a museum.  It's so beautiful!  Here is a full view of it and the back of the building from google:

My week has been so insanely stressful, but this was honestly one of the best moments.  I really had fun with it.

Randomly so.

I thought I'd make up for my lack of posts with a quick outfit/school/music/life update.

Here are a few of the outfits I've worn over the past week or so.

Boots and Tights, I know, very shocking :p

We had a tiny "cold" front (66 degrees) and I decided to break out my Young & Reckless baseball tee that I love.

Now some stuff that has happened/ will be happening!

Like I said in my last post, I got my new camera!  I've been taking pictures of everything in my house...I may be addicted.... but happily so!  Plus now that I have it, I can start doing shoots and working towards my goals.

On Thursday, I went to see The Possession with Hailey.  That whole movie was cray as heck, but in a good way!  I used this outing as an excuse to try doing my make-up a little differently than I usually do.  Instead of my usual dark black eye shadow and eye liner, I tried just doing a simple line on my top lids and add mascara.  I actually liked it a lot more that I thought I would.  Here's how it turned out:

As far as school goes, I will be spending the next week writing and learning my speech for speech class about the history of Halloween.  I'm actually kind of excited to give this one!

And finally, this Thursday, I'm going to see Of Mice & Men and August Burns Red with the usual suspects.

Neglectful Blogger

I have not posted anything in so long! 

Sorry about that, things have been crazy with school and such and I haven't had time to post.

But the good news?

I FINALLY GOT MY CAMERA!!!

I didn't exactly have the best experience buying this little darling (thanks a whole lot Best Worst Buy) but it's mine all mine and it even has a flip out screen and its so fancy and I'm so happy!

Later I'll post all the Halloween crafts and goodies I've acquired over the past few weeks.

I See Stars Arrested

On August 30, 2012 (this past Thursday) members and crew of the band I See Stars were arrested for possession and intent to use hallucinogenic drugs.

The band finally released an official statement:

Yes we did spend a night in jail… No it’s not a hoax. No we didn’t get shanked or drop the soap. We are home now and looking forward to the Thug In Me Is You Tour w/ Falling in Reverse, Enter Shikari, Let Live. Get your tickets now, these tickets are going faster than any tour we’ve ever done.
