Never Gone (so don't forget me)

I'm back! Well I was never really gone. Just very busy. I'm still adjusting to my new schedule and trying to find some free time. I'll get better at this soon! I feel like I've only posted music run downs lately and should probably do something else. However, I'm about to do another music post, so hopefully you guys enjoy them!
On a randomly unrelated note, ever wish you had a three pocket folder? Well, as my friend and I just discovered, THEY EXIST!!! And my friend was lovely enough to pick up a few for me when she got hers.
Ours are fancier than these. *nerd moment*

Thanks for sticking with me everyone!

I don't care if I'm a Guilty Pleasure for You

Pop, Rap, County. They exist, these genres. They are blared from radio stations 24/7. Some of us say we are far to "Rock 'n' Roll" for such silly nonscense. We flip the bird to the mainstream. But when we are alone, driving in our cars, running on the treadmill, we do the unthinkable. We listen to this music. We play it loud, cranking the bass like its going out of style. But we will no longer hide in the shadows. It is time to reveal the truth.
Welcome to the Secret Playlist.
Katy Perry
B.O.B
It was just a dream
Just a moment ago
I was up so high
Looking down at the sky
Don't Let Me Fall
Ke$ha
Mirand Lambert
Lil' Jon
Nickelback
Say what you will, I still like this group.
If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died
And lastly, voted "Mostly Likely to Get You Slapped by Anyone Over the Age of 12"
Avril Lavigne
I grew up in the 90's! It was inevitable!
Now don't we all feel better?  Its out in the open. Its there. It doesn't change who I am. Anyone else agree? :)

Wonderful Suprise

Hello lovelies! It's been far too long since I've last gave you an update so lets get started! As you may know, this was my first week of college. It started off a bit bumpy, what with me being insanely nervous and having the normal first day of school jitters. However, after I got to class and met my teachers and classmates, I felt alot better. This semester I'm taking Comp 1 (english), Computure applications, Intro to Sociology, and Intro to Psychology. My teachers are great and I'm really enjoying meeting new people. (To the guy in my computer class, your fedora and sarcasm makes me smile) When you live in a small town your entire life, you get used to seeing the same people day in and day out. Now I get to see the people I've known since 4th grade and make a few new friends. Now, enough about me! Let's talk music!
It seems like my first real band review is going over fairly well, which is amazing! I'm in the research phase of my next review, so stay tuned for that! After this post, I'll probably compile a band round up for you. My neverending list of bands actually seems to be dwindling, so if you got a band recommendation, drop me a comment! I'm even thinking about doing a "Skeletons in the Closet" post about some of the cheesey, silly, pop music I listen to (you do it too! Yes, you sir, in the back! I know you listen to Ke$ha!)
Well, that's all of my ramblings for the time being! Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

College and such

Just started my first day of college! It went really well. I like my teachers so far, which is great. I meet my next two teachers tomorrow, which I am both nervous and excited for as usual. Luckily I have Hailey in at least one class a day so I don't feel alone. I am really busy trying to get all my stuff together and ready to go, so I don't have a real post going right now, but I will return with things that shall blow your mind! Prepare yourselves! :)

Motionless In White Review/ Bio

Motionless In White

This Pennsylvanian metal core band was formed in 2005 with an original lineup of Chris Cerulli- vocals, TJ Bell- guitarist/ vocalist, Ryan Sitkowski- guitarist, Frank Polumbo-bassist, and Angelo Parente- Drums. The name of the band comes from the song “Motionless in White” by Eighteen Visions.

In 2007, the bands hard work and dedication scored them a deal with Masquerade Recordings. Their debut EP “The Whorror” was released later that fall.
While working a three week spot in Warped Tour 2008, MIW caught the attention of many major record labels as well as Shawn Mike, vocalist of Alesana. The band accepted management to The Artery Foundation. In December of 2008, the band was signed with Fearless Records.
In February of 2009, the band released their second EP, “When Love Met Destruction”. Shortly after the release, bassist Frank Polumbo left the band for reasons unkown. The band then added Ricky Olson as their permanent bass player in October of 2009.

On October 12, 2009 the band released their debut full length album “Creatures”. (Interesting fact? The band used all fan submitted lyrics - except for the chorus - on the title track of this album.)

In May of 2011, rhythm guitarist TJ Bell left the band. Later, Ricky Olson switched from playing bass to rhythm guitar. The band now has a fill in bassist, Devin Sola, but it is unclear if he will become a permanent member.

On July 7, 2011 the band released their music video/ short film for the song Creatures. The release was followed by a live Ustream session. The video is very eerie as it delves into the human psyche, showing that there is a secret, often darker, side to everyone no matter how they look. It was gritty instead of overproduced, which seem to add to the videos success.

The band is currently on the All Star Tour with the bands Emmure, Alesana, iwrestledabearonce, blessthefall, For Today, In This Moment, Born Of Osiris (I love, love, love them), The Ghost Inside, After The Burial, Attila, For All Those Sleeping, Memphis May Fire, Chelsea Grin, and Sleeping With Sirens.

MIW is known for its insane stage presence and unique sound.Overall, the band supports the important message of being yourself and not giving a f*ck what other people think. Their fan base has become very strong and call themselves “Creatures”.

If you like the Misfits, Cradle of Filth, The Black Dahlia Murder, or Eighteen Visions, you should definitely check out Motionless in White.

Yes, I am a Creature. No, I haven't seen them live *shakes head sadly*, although I would love to.

*So, what do you think of my first band review? I want brutal honesty! (Ok, not brutal. How about creative critiquing?) Anything you would like to see/ not like to see in the next review? Are there any bands I should check out?

It Takes Two

Well, my first poll is over! It only got two votes (two more than I expected) so it looks like I will be doing two reviews!
One on Motionless in White
source: Jeremy Saffer
And one on The Birthday Massacre

Hopefully I'll have at least one done by the end of this weekend. Monday is my first day as a college student (wtf? where did the time go?) so I may not be posting alot until the following weekend.
Also I've learned how to tag my photography! Which means I will probably be posting alot my work here.
That's all for now! Over and out! :)

Take a Bite of My Heart Tonight

First off, I would like to welcome my new followers, one being Alternative Ivy! I always enjoy meeting people with similar music taste! :)
Now today I thought I'd do my usual music rundown, but with a twist. I'm going to try and list bands that span as many genres of music as possible. It'll be a big mixing pot of music! So lets get started!
Let's start off with some calm acoustic-ish music that makes me wanna sway:
Ray LaMontagne
Chase Coy
It's the way that you talk, that you laugh, that you smile.
If beauty was inches you'd go on for miles.
It's the way that you make everything seem worth while
the second that you say hello
Now maybe a little Country..(yes I like country, don't judge)
Lady Antebellum
Hello world, how ya been?
Good to see you my old friend
Thompson Square
I love her hair.
Now some things to make you laugh....
Flight of the Conchords
You gotta check these guys out. You will not stop laughing!
Andrew Jackson Jihad
First heard their song Lady Killer at one of my friends brothers bands shows. Absolutely Amazing.
Now a little mainstream....
3OH!3
Bruno Mars
Today I don't feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don't feel like pickin up my phone
So leave a message at the tone
Cause today I don't feel like doing anything
How about some post-hardcore? (Again, don't judge :p)

Attack! Attack!

Of Mice and Men
Interesting tidbit: Both bands were started by the same guy. This guy was also fired from both bands. (or so the google tells me)
And finally, some Rock....
Foo Fighters
Sixx A.M.
They don't even know you
All they see is scars
They can't see the angel living in your heart
Let them find the real you buried deep within
Let them know with all you've got
That you are not your skin
And their you have it! Hope everyone enjoyed this post and has a wonderful day!
*Also, today is the very last day to vote in my poll! So go vote, vote, vote for the band you wanna see reviewed!
*P.S. I would absolutely love some Music recommendations of any kind. Please and Thank Ya!
