Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to all my lovely reader! I hope you have a very spooky night! :)

What a busy little Random bee!

First off, sorry I've been such a boring blogger lately.  With school and everything, I've been too busy and, lets face it, brain dead, to create a coherent post.  So I will compensate by telling you about my Saturday night!  Hailey and I went to see her brothers band Streetlight Hero play at a bar called Eclipse (it was a sketchy little building, but the inside was amazing! The walls were completely covered with murals and other paintings were propped up everywhere.).  The band started their set and where doing fantastic. There was a thunderstorm moving in and as they finished their first song, there was an insanely loud clap of thunder, which was followed by a random man yelling "Jesus is here!"  They got to the point in their show where they have two people from the crowd come up and play the shaker and the tambourine.  Since I am always sitting with Hailey and her family, I felt pretty safe that I wouldn't get picked.  I was wrong. Very very wrong. I was picked and told to get my ass on the stage (feel the love :p ). I was terrified because, despite my occasional bravado, I can be very shy.  Thankfully, Hailey was there to document this moment of silliness. Enjoy!

On the ride home, we jammed to some hits from the 90's, including the Macarena, which of course we danced to!

It was a pretty great night overall. 

Hopefully insiration will hit me over the head with a frying pan soon (theoretically of course) and I will have an amazing post for you guys!

Tye Dye and Other Fun

I spent Friday celebrating my friends birthday.  We started off eating some pizza and watching reality tv (Maury, Maury, Maury *don't judge*). I got some lovin' from Hailey's two puppies, Turco and Sydney.

Then we headed outside to do some tye-dyeing. Here's how mine turned out:

Heart Song

We are not the same. We have the beats we dance to and no one else can hear them. Our hearts sing a song that tells our story. No one knows it is there, playing softly in everything we do. Others only see our skin, hear our voices. They do not see the kind hearted man beneath his tattooed skin, the doting mother inside the pink haired girl, the immense strength within the smallest child, or the wild dreamer that thrives in the quiet studious girl. They do not hear the cheers of happiness, the screams of anger, or the sobs of sorrow. Each morning we turn down the volume on our hearts song until it is but a whisper within our own minds. We guard it, protect it, keep it as safe as possible. And when we meet people who can hear it without trying, who hook up headphones to our hearts and listen with rapt attention, we become scared of what they will think, believe, or say. Then, as we sit worrying, we hear a whisper, a melody just barley audible and we realize that it is their heart song, turned up just loud enough for us to hear. It is then that we discover what this exchanging of harmonies truly is. It is Love. It is Love.

Everybody Scream

This past week has been crazy (which is why I haven't posted much).  I had a terrible migraine Monday night and all day Tuesday. (It was awful. I haven't had one that bad in years). Yesterday was far better. I ran a few errands and went shopping with my wonderful momma, and picked up some wonderful goodies if I do say so myself. ;)

First we hit the record store and I picked up some Cd's I've been wanting:

We also went to Sally's beauty supply where I picked up a new hair straightener (mine died) and this lovely China Glaze nail crackle set:

Next up was WalMart for the fake nails I wanted to pick up.

They are out for Halloween, but lets be honest, I'm gonna be wearing these babies year round!

(I've been wearing another pair of the black skull ones for the past week ^.^)

Then it was to Books-a-Million, where I found 3 awesome books ON SALE!
