Thanks for the Memories

I was looking through some old concert photos and came across one that brought a smile to my face.  The guy in the photo with us is not from a band but a bands lovely merch dude! He was merching for the Go Radio at the time ( May 2010) and was one of the coolest people i have had the pleasure of conversating with. So here's to you merch dude, I wish I knew your name.  Thank you for being friendly, funny, and automatically posing like a badass when asked for a photo! You are my merch hero!

Music=Life

"Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul"

"Music is my life".  A quote that is often over used and has begun to loose its meaning. Some state that music is their life in the meaning that it is often background noise for their dailey lives.  Others use this because they think it will make them "cool".  Sometimes people only like bands because the people in them are attractive and therefore must be talented.  What most don't understand is that music is more than just noise for some people.  It truley is their life.  It is their way of escape.  Their friend when they are lonely.  It is their truth when they are surrounded by lies.  Music is such a powerful thing. It can bring together different varieties of people.  It can make those considered "outcast" feel that they are part of a group, that they are not alone. Music is a beautiful thing.

So the next time someone says that music is their life, don't automatically blow them off, because they just might be telling the truth.

What a Week!

This past week has been absolutely crazy! With the Senior Assembly Tuesday, Baccalaureate Wednesday, my 18th birthday (and last day of school!) Friday, and Graduation on Saturday I have been seriously busy. I thought I'd post a few pics from each event.

Although Im glad to finally be done with high school, there are alot of people I'm going to miss. I love you guys and i hope you have a wonderful summer.

Holy Diploma, Batman! This just got REAL!

Who knew something as simple as receiving your cap and gown could make you realize that you really are graduating in 4 days. Four short days and the Senior class of 2011 will be released into the world to start a new chapter of our lives. it doesn't seem quite real. But it feels so right! :)

Saturday Night

Saturday was amazing. I went to see the Silverstein/ Bayside concert with my friends.  It wasnt very crowded, so we were able to stand against the barrior in front of the stage for both bands.  After the show, we were able to meet Bayside's bassist Nick Ghanbarian and get a picture with him.
